Originally there was gonna be one additional panel at the end, but I wound up not doing it. Instead that bit of dialogue is gonna be punted to the start of next week’s episode! Art wise it wasn’t gonna be anything special either. Downside it meant a shorter episode this week, but the bright side is I had less work to do!

I only had two hours of sleep Sunday night so I wound up cashing in some PTO and stayed home from work. I wound up doing fuck all that day, which led me to being behind on work. Sucks since I wanted to spend today doing more storyboards for future Kat episodes, but I guess I’ll just be doing it tomorrow only. There’s two already finished sans text, but I wanna get at least three weeks worth more done so I can then focus the next few weeks on Bodysuit 23 prep stuff. And maybe a bit of Galactic Dragoon Reina if I have the time and strength.

In other news I started watching Overman King Gainer last night. I’ve had the bluray for a while now but hadn’t been in the mood to sit down and actually watch it. Things changed yesterday after I listened to the opening for about 2 and a half hours straight. Man oh MAN does Tomino just fucking go with it. He dashes out of the starting gate giving you zero context or understanding just what the hell is going on with this insane sense of pacing. Thankfully by the end of episode two you start filling in the gaps with some cool mech action. For a show from 2002 the animation holds up, albeit it being an early 00s digipaint show rears its ugly head. But when the animation goes it fucking goes. I’m still early on so I don’t know if my attitude will still be the same by the time I reach the end, but it’s gonna be my night time before bed anime for a while.
