I know I said there wasn’t gonna be an episode this week, but I couldn’t NOT have something in its place! So what I did was draw a little comic of my experiences the past two days. The dialogue all comes from my discord chat with Cooper as I slaved away for a stupidly long time on a simple gesture drawing. I literally did not get it right until later that night, and even then it wasn’t perfect. Also those are actual outfits of mine that I wear in real life! Well, the last panel is just my night shirt, so not really an outfit. It’s a damn comfy shirt, too. Some 5XL shirt that I got at Target on clearance for $5 a few years ago!

February 25th, 2026

Heya! How’re y’all doing? I’m doing pretty mediocre at the moment due to some issues with this week’s Kat episode. Cooper pointed out issues with just about every panel I roughed on Monday, along with talking about how my proportions and anatomy is slipping. This resulted in me just tossing out everything I did, push the episode to next week, and just practice anatomy and fundamentals and shit. Except that’s going pretty shitty as I spent two hours on a single gesture drawing based on a reference photo that for the life of me I could not get it to look right. Even with Cooper’s assistance I fucked it up over and over and over again. Really showing how fucking of an amateur of an artist I am.

Anyway depressing shit aside.

Last week I was asked out on a date! First time in my life! Was pretty fucking crazy! Never thought that would happen! But with my having no fucking clue what my sexual orientation is at the moment I downgraded it to just a get together this past Saturday. Figured it wouldn’t hurt to meet up and see where things went and how I’d feel. And it went really well! We saw Send Help, which was a really fun movie! I recommend it! Afterward we chatted for a few hours over lunch about anime, animation in general, tv shows, and games and junk. Like, hell, within a few minutes of meeting up with each other he brought up the new .hack game and started talking about .hack//Sign. I wasn’t even the one to bring it up! It’s fucking cool being able to talk to someone with similar interests and knows a good chunk of the same sort of stuff I’m into or have seen! We’re getting together again on Friday for drinks and dinner.

On Saturday I have a friend and one of their friends coming down to paint a shelf of theirs at my place before going off to go get sandwiches. After which fuck about while we wait for it to dry.

So despite a bit of a shit week in regards to my (f)arting I’ve got some positive things to look forward to! And I still got a few days of nothing to do but practice drawing while at work, so hopefully by next week I’ll be ready to go to work on that new episode of Kat again!
