A Kat’s (GOD AWFUL!!!) Blessing – 122

My birthday get together plans got squashed Sunday as I woke up to a text from my mom going to the doctor to get her foot checked. Apparently she had stood up on it wrong the day before and Sunday morning it was really painful and swelling. Good news is it wasn’t broken but just a sprain. But because of that I wound up staying home Sunday where I ate nearly half of the birthday cake I was going to bring and played Ys X for hours. That night I did what’s becoming my annual Five Guys birthday meal, stuffing my gullet with a large order of Cajun style fries. My stomach was not happy with me that night. If I were to explode from gluttony it would have been a very delicious way to go in all honesty.

The rest of the cake I brought to work because heaven forbid I need to eat an ENTIRE cake on my own. I had too much as it was. My coworkers enjoyed it and finished it off for me so a happy end to that.

In other news apparently Crunchyroll failed to renew my subscription. They gave me a notice before that my debit card was set to expire and would cause an issue, but I had always paid with my credit card based on past billing statements so that confused me. I updated my credit card info and figured that was fine. But as to show I hadn’t been watching much anime recently the failed renewel occurred at the end of November and I only just realized it last night. So RIP to my $60 a year subscription.

Except when I checked Crunchyroll’s billing info it showed it had tried to charge me $80 anyway; the regular year subscription price. Maybe Sony decided to kill off grandfathered pricing like Google had done to people like me who were holdovers of Youtube Red? While it sucks to have to pay $20 more a year, it’s only $20. I do not have the energy in me to call Sony and give them an earful because I hadn’t noticed it for nearly a month and to demand my old pricing back. I am very complacent in that way.

I looked into it a bit and turns out other people on Reddit had similar issues. Seems like it really was Sony trying to get everyone off the old price after all.
