Happy Thursday everybody! It’s time for another episode of A Kat’s (GOD AWFUL!!!) Blessing!
My supervisor should be coming back to work tomorrow, marking an end to the multi-week of “will it or won’t it be Hell Week?” Hell Week(s). The worst day was Monday, but thankfully work grew slower afterward, resulting in not as bad of a time as it could have been. Mostly glad to have this finally behind me and can get back to regular work weeks for the forseeable future.
We got a long weekend this weekend too, but I’m behind on comic work so it’ll be a regular 2 day (or less) weekend for me. I haven’t gotten started on the storyboards for next week’s installment as I had to figure out certain things that would dramatically change the future goings of the story. Or, well, maybe not THAT dramatic, but stuff that once it’s down in the story there’s no going back and changing it. I didn’t want to screw that up so outside of regular Thursday work I spent extra time talking with Cooper and bouncing ideas off him.
I’m thinking of doing the “Pay What Ya Want Sketch” commission stream on September 13th, so a bit past Bodysuit 23’s anniversary. I would’ve done it next weekend but Anime Lock Down 2025 will be happening then and there’s some panels I wanna watch, so I figured I’d punt my stream to the next week.
Despite the fact I’ll be doing it on picarto again so as to stream some anime while I draw, I think I’ll limit the drawings to be PG13-soft R-esque. This way I won’t have to turn on the adult filter and people can watch the stream without having to be forced to make an account if they don’t want to. At SOME point I’ll write out a detailed explanation as to how it’ll work this year, but basically it’ll be SKETCHES sketches and not my “I say sketch but really it’s an inked drawing” sketches. Then I’ll allow for an additional $20 inking fee that can be done on a later date if you want me to ink it. This way I can get more drawings done for more people and not wind up only doing like 8 over a 10 hour period. I always feel like people get left out otherwise.
Anyway, that’s it for now. Looks like we got a storm heading my way as it’s starting to thunder. I’ll be sleeping nice tonight! See y’all next week!
