Stunt Double

November 6th, 2026

Whipped this up today pretty quickly so as to have something to show this week. I got inspired by that comment over on webtoons and decided to run with it.

Managed to get mostly 5 storyboards done this week! There was quite a bit of back and forth with Cooper on some of them that had me having to go back and restructure ’em. Like one episode had chunks cut out and stuff in the next episode moved up, entire sections redone from scratch, and so on. I got some minor feedback today that should be a quick fix with me combining three panels into 1 and made into a more dynamic shot than what I got and dialogue rewriting in another panel featuring **spoiler**.

Really glad that Bodysuit 23 is about to go into a between chapter hiatus because hoo boy some of these episodes is gonna really take all I got to get them done in the week. Without a full B23 page to worry about I’ll have more time to focus on Kat and hopefully get it done before the end of Thursday and allow for some Reina/more kat storyboard work for Friday.

I did not expect to have that massive of a blue wave in the elections last night. Nor did I expect to see Texas go blue so hard that they effectively killed any real way for republicans to fuck around with moving governmental powers around to different offices within the state government to prevent democrats from being able to do anything and go “look see they can’t do anything vote us back in instead!”

The thing I was disappointed about the elections was the numerous anti-trans bills that were voted in numerous states. Places that were even considered locations that trans people were fleeing Texas to escape its bullshit even voted in anti-trans bills. The one in Arizona really sucks since they tackled on numerous things on top of the “no boys in girls sports” bill. I feel for all those affected by it.

Now despite all this I’m being very cautiously optimistic about all this since there’s a good chance you’ll have people like Jeffries help fuck it all up. If nothing is done in the next two years then I can see this all imploding and we’ll go right back to where we were two days ago.

Nevertheless I’m trying to not feel too doomer about it all and enjoy the moment. Hopefully they’ll finally legalize weed in Texas now that Dan Patrick is fucking off. Would be nice to get edibles to relax in the evenings.

Also I saw Wildwood and it’s very good. Go see it if you can.
