A Kat’s (GOD AWFUL!!!) Blessing – 135

Aaaaaaaaaand we’re back! How’s everyone doing?

I wanted to show some of the action back at the pool but then thought about how to go about it. Show some random people fighting? Marco doing something? Then I went “…I DID technically have Lord Xellios in that one crowd shot.” And thus I brought over Lord Xellios and his two girls over from Bodysuit 23 and plopped them in! A reverse of what I did before when Marco popped up over in the snow arc of that comic. No, they don’t share the same universe or anything. I just really like Xellios’ and the girls’ designs. And hey, recycling helps protects the environment, right?

On Saturday I went to my folks and celebrated my mom’s and my nephew’s birthdays, both of which are pretty close to one another so we figured we’d get together and celebrate it all in one go! That and my nephew is three so not like he cares all that much sharing a birthday party with Grandma! We had a swell time and I only had to hear about how Trump and Elon Musk are doing great things actually and I shouldn’t worry about those attempts at making laws against trans people in Texas in one conversation and that was it! Hooray!

Wrapped up From Bureaucrat to Villainess, which I wound up liking a lot more than I thought I would when I first took a look at it! Considering the protagonist is a 50-something year old man who’s a dad and decent guy, it feels like a mix between old school and modern day isekai. For one, the protagonist is trying to complete the game to potentially come back to the real world, which was nice. Also having his daughter and wife watch him go through the game while they themselves can participate in the real world was pretty neat. Great show! Probably be a few years before we get more!

I also have blasted through Welcome To Japan, Ms. Elf in like two days with two episodes left. I dunno, man. It’s nice. It’s a nice and comfy semi-isekai jumping back and forth between a fantasy and the real world and it’s nice. The characters are good people. It’s cozy. Something I can really use right now. Not the most spectacular show but something that hit the right time for me.

Anyway that’s all for me this week! Today was on the rainy and chilly side of things so I’m gonna upload the comic and take a nice relaxing bath! Later!
