It’s a question episode! We take a look back at nearly twenty years ago at an event that shook Kat’s hometown! Or didn’t shake! Or more like it started to shake but then went “eh” and gave up and then nothing of consequences happened. Absolutely nothing came about it at all! Yup!
Visited the folks on Saturday for a belated Mother’s Day brunch, though more like lunch. Got Chinese food and it was delicious. Also stuck around and chatted for a couple of hours. Not having to be with the rest of the family honestly made for a better experience. Like, whenever we have family get togethers my sister, brother, sister and law, and mom would do teacher talk and then I’d just sit there silent for a few hours as there’s little for me to contribute to the conversation. And when it’s roughly a 45 minute to an hour commute to sit there for two hours doing nothing only to have the drive back it kinda sucks! Now on I’m just gonna go to the more important ones like Christmas and not the nearly once a month situation that it has roughly been for years.
Rest of the weekend I was a lazy bum. I watched some Ranma 1/2 and got started on a commission but otherwise I napped or laid down trying to nap. You could argue it’s a waste of a weekend, especially when I didn’t have to work on Bodysuit 23 OR Kat, but it was just what I needed. A nice weekend without anything hanging over my head.
Speaking of Ranma, picked up the next couple boxsets that I didn’t have since they were on sale for $15 each so as to continue my watch of that. Gotta say that my opinion hasn’t changed: Ranma 1/2 post cancellation is better. That whole first set of episodes did nothing for me. Once it came back it’s been hitting way better. The timing of the jokes is quicker and feels more akin to Urusei Yatsura. I’m digging it.
And that’s it for this week. Gonna visit a friend Saturday and go swimsuit shopping. First time I’ll have gotten a swimsuit since elementary school. Since middle school I’d just wear cargo shorts into the water with a t-shirt since it completely hid my fat gut back then and thus helped me avoid ridicule.
