A Kat’s (GOD AWFUL!!!) Blessing – 171

March 26th, 2026
Here we are! It’s another week! Another Kat! Huzzah!

Last Sunday the weekly drawing club I’m in went on a field trip to a buddhist temple! It was 94 fucking degrees or something like that, which is crazy for March. I wound up getting sunburned as I forgot to put some sunscreen on my neck. What’s annoying is I tried to stay under shade as much as possible and regardless I got got by the sun. Oh well. Thankfully it wasn’t too bad a burn and hasn’t been painful.

The temple was really cool, though I didn’t go inside as I didn’t want to take my shoes off. They had a bunch of food stalls selling what looked like incredibly delicious food, but since I had no cash on me I didn’t get anything. Another club member offered but I figured I’d hold off and then grab food afterward. The temple had a balcony that overlooked the grounds which made for a really good spot to do some sketching. I got a photo of it too! My drawing is difficult to make out due to the pencil being rather light: https://bsky.app/profile/mehgazone.com/post/3mhod76hhsc2d

Now that the anime season is just about over I finally jumped onto the second season of Tis Time For Torture, Princess. I really enjoyed the first season and the few episodes of season 2 that I’ve seen haven’t disappointed me. Such a nice fun show to end the day on. Gives good feelings and a nice chuckle or two. Some moments had some incredible animation for such mundane movement which made me wonder if an animator was flexing or what.

In other news Texas Furry Fiesta is this weekend and I’ll be bumming around for a few hours there Saturday hanging out with a couple people. Here’s a post about it over on bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/mehgazone.com/post/3mht5bha5i22e. If you happen to be there this weekend and catch sight of me feel free to come up and say hi! I’ll even give you a sticker!

Anyway that’s it for this week! I’ll catch y’all same day same time (roughly) next week! Laters!

  1. Sheila says:

I mean… Canceliing the second sundae is good and all, but how’s she gonna deal with the one she’s already in the process of digesting?

    Oh dear…

  2. Samantha says:

    Not actually true.

Cats CAN be lactose intolerant, just as Asian people can be lactose intolerant.
But our cat drank milk nearly every meal for twenty years of her life. The one time she didn’t was the week she died, mainly because she no longer want to eat or drink anything. In fact, all of our cats have been lactose tolerant. Lactose intolerance is mostly a lack of build-up of lactase. It’s something that can be prevented by having a lifestyle that encourages milk drinking habits.
“Lactase is an enzyme that helps digest lactose, the sugar found in milk. For those who are lactose intolerant, finding sources of lactase that contain minimal lactose is essential. Here are some options:
Probiotic foods contain live bacteria that can produce lactase, aiding in lactose digestion. These foods typically have lower lactose levels due to fermentation. (They recommend, yogurt, kefir, and fermented cheeses).”

Basically, assuming the change didn’t flush out everything in her system, her existing dairy in her diet would help her, as lactase is in dairy sources. If not, she can get back into the rhythm by eating cheese and yogurt.
