As you can see I redrew a couple frames from Lord of Lords Ryu Knight TV (and changed some of the coloring)! I did it without tracing, even! Super obvious if you blow it up and put it side by side the original frames. It comes from episode 28!
Special thanks to The-Triad for fansubbing it several decades ago! Plus for fansubbing several anime that I downloaded from them all the way back in 2007, such as Air, Nanoha, and Higurashi! For funsies I went to their old website via the internet archive around the time I would have gone to their website for the torrents. Funny enough I WOULD have seen their news posts about Ryu Knight back then! 17-year-old me should have given it the chance and downloaded it!
Though as that was early days into getting into torrents my focus was mostly on newer shows at the time within the past few years and less so on older works. At least I get to enjoy it now! I very much appreciate all your hard work folks over at The-Triad circa 2003-7!
Not much else to report this week. I saw Nosferatu, which was neat but didn’t surpass the enjoyment I got out of seeing The Lighthouse in theaters. Ice storm came and went with nothing happening outside of not going to work Friday. Last night I doodled some Galactic Dragoon Reina DRAGON design stuff and this morning talked with Cooper and settled on DRAGONs looking more like actual dragons instead of spaceships that happen to be named DRAGONs. Also they fly through space via wings and not thrusters now as I came up with a good enough lore reason as to why. That and the fact I wasn’t liking the look of thrusters on the design. Then again it’s not like I’m that great of a concept artist for fantasy space-faring vehicles. Also I still don’t know where the DRAGON’s sword go either. Guess that’s next on the to do list!
