A Kat’s (GOD AWFUL!!!) Blessing – Minisode #1

It’s a minisode! A fun, cute little moment that could fit at some random point of time within the continuity of the comic without interfering with anything! I also got it done yesterday so figured I’d go ahead and post it today instead of waiting till tomorrow! Those on the discord server have already seen it though.

Hell Week is going as smoothly as a Hell Week can go. Doing more work but haven’t been flooded yet. There is this job that my supervisor is normally in charge of that is looking like I’ll have to be the one to do it which I am not looking forward to. Basically a client is sending in pngs of their label and want certain parts to have reflective silver on it. Course since it’s a PNG that means I have to redraw those elements from scratch. If it were vector art I’d just copy what they did and create a layer for that silver print. Bleeeh.

I’ve been getting into the routine of playing Mario Kart World every night, though my play time varies. I’ve solely been playing knockout, but if I get into the top 4 in my first race of the evening I go ahead and stop. I got a win, feels good, no need to sour it. I’ll swap to free mode for a bit then hop off. If I have a streak of bad runs then I wind up playing over and over again until I do better out of frustration. That’s how I wind up play competitive online games, whether it be Splatoon or Halo or Overwatch or whatever. I haven’t played any of those for a good while, though.

ANIME TALK!

New week, so new “it’s the weekend so let’s maybe check something out that seems interesting that’s either done or almost done” time! This week I checked out Apocalypse Hotel. That’s a very fun show that tries out different genres based on whatever mood the show happens to be feeling. The setup is like a cross between Planetarium and Nier/Nier Automata: robots running an inn waiting for humanity to come back except humanity ain’t coming back babyyyy! Eventually aliens start coming by to stay at the hotel and shenanigans ensue. What’s fun is time goes by super fast between episodes and even in the same episode itself. Between the first episode and episode 10-11ish it’s been nearly 600 years! But things at the hotel don’t change too dramatically outside of getting a hot spring opened at one point and building a rocket ship that takes 70ish years to build and is shown in a montage.

It’s cute and fun and gets a nice chuckle out of me from time to time. I recommend it!

And that’s all for this week! We’ll be back to regular updates next week unless something happens, in which case I’ll let y’all know! See ya!

I feel ya, girl. I want to pet her tail too.

Unrelated, and simply because I’m relatively new, what day do you usually update this comic?
