It’s hard to narrow down what I like in Kat, because there is *always* some deft touch to appreciate. I do like that Kat’s precursors are available to peruse; even without 1:1 continuity, MGD & the Reina project kind of create a “Katverse” of combinations & permutations.

In my mind it’s all part of the “Dying” universe as Magical Girl Dallas is a spinoff of my old visual novel Dying With Thyself which I wrote between 2009-2012. The character Sam appears in both Dying and Dallas, along with what inspired the Department of Janitorial Services/DOJS idea and the whole gods/ridiculous situations spun from.
I wouldn’t say it’s good and some jokes have not aged well and were written by an obvious teenage dweeb, but it’s the launch pad to all this crazy stuff.
